Branch Executive - Asset Finance

About the role

Tugende Limited is hiring a Branch Executive in Kampala (Kamwokya) to grow the branch loan portfolio and make the branch profitable and efficient. The executive leads a team across disbursement, collection and recovery, supervises operations and supports the head office.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue and portfolio growth through marketing initiatives, lead generation and conversion, and timely escalation of issues
• Ensure portfolio quality by following credit policy, analysing portfolio data and supporting recovery operations
• Act as a liaison with local authorities and build partnerships with police, security agencies, suppliers and businesses
• Lead the operations team, supervise staff, train field teams and support functions, and run performance reviews
• Provide strong customer service, understand the customer journey and monitor client lifecycles from onboarding to logbook issuance
• Support collection, recovery and vetting processes, and implement operations policies
• Submit operations status reports, strengthen stakeholder relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Custodian of branch resources, monitor expenses and propose efficiency improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration or management
• At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience
• Prior experience in asset finance or microfinance preferred
• Riding competence is required
• Willingness to travel, work in rural areas and flexible hours
