Business Analyst – Warehouse & Transport Logistics

About the role

DHL Supply Chain Uganda is hiring a Business Analyst to support its warehouse and transport logistics operations. The role covers data analysis, reporting, process improvement and analytical support for new business and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and interpret large datasets on warehouse and transport operations, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards showing KPIs to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and propose process improvements.
• Work with the IT team to assess and implement technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Use historical data and industry trends to forecast demand for warehouse and transport services.
• Document business requirements for system enhancements and outline solutions and commercial proposals for internal and customer presentations.
• Support new business and customer renewals, and help establish optimal costing and commercialization.
• Take part in customer presentations and work with the operations, BD and sector teams on project implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably plant, electrical or mechanical; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 3 years of proven experience in business analysis, preferably in warehouse or transport logistics.
• Logistics experience is an added advantage.
• Ability to understand a strategic perspective and turn it into a work plan.
• In-depth knowledge of standard operating procedures and the EWM system.
• English, spoken and written.

Required skills

• Familiarity with warehouse and transport management systems and logistics software.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience with CLASS/Auto Card and technical aptitude for new business developments.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Power BI.
