Supply Chain Planner

About the role

TotalEnergies EP Uganda is hiring a Supply Chain Planner in Kampala, at its Pearl Business Park workplace. The affiliate is growing and preparing for first oil in 2025, managing many high-value and complex contracts while adhering to authorities, legislation, company rules, SOX controls and the Joint Operating and Production Agreements. The role emphasizes good recordkeeping to maximise cost recovery on contracts and procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead direct reports on HSE, integrity and sustainability matters and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with operational departments to develop and update the Master and Annual Procurement Plan, and align supply chain strategy with company objectives.
• Monitor, measure, consolidate and report on key supply chain performance metrics, and check that activities comply with procurement policies and industry regulations.
• Manage the active contracts register, highlight risks to stakeholders and support Contract Managers with relevant data and analysis.
• Ensure efficient execution of decentralised buying, including PRs, call-offs and goods receipt, and generate accurate procurement reports.
• Facilitate engagement between Finance, C&P and operations, take part in Contracts Committee sessions, and support audits and reviews of the supply chain.
• Support the deployment of procurement tools, systems and templates, and coach and train stakeholders on procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of petroleum industry procurement regulations in Uganda.
• Good business knowledge of tax, accounting, logistics and legal matters.
• Organised, creative, proactive, leadership-oriented, able to train and coach, with a team spirit and results focus.

Required skills

• Intermediate MS Excel and analytical skills.
• Practical knowledge of SAP and other C&P tools such as Agora, Sequana and E-Sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of the Supply Chain (Purchase to Pay) process and the Company's supply chain CMS.
