Demand Planner - Quick Commerce

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, operates a quick commerce business unit that delivers goods to customers' doors within minutes. As part of its Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFCs) vertical, the Demand Planner forecasts future product needs and places purchase orders with vendors so that stores are well stocked, customer needs are met and food waste is minimized. The position is based in Kampala.

Key responsibilities

• Improve forecast accuracy using historical sales data to adjust forecasts for promotions, seasonal variations, special events and new products.
• Work with category management, marketing and operations teams to align demand forecasts with supply chain capabilities.
• Maintain and adjust purchasing tool parameters such as safety stocks and bank holidays to optimize inventory.
• Create purchase orders and monitor supplier deliveries for the supply planning and replenishment of MFCs.
• Support suppliers on fill rates, no-shows, delays and incidents, and help set improvement plans.
• Monitor and report country-level supply chain KPIs and analyze availability, inventory levels, turnover, shrinkage and fill rates to spot trends and risks.
• Drive action plans that reduce costs, improve efficiency and enhance supply chain performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a Supply Chain / Operations discipline.
• Two years of relevant experience in supply chain, preferably in demand or supply planning.
• Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication, and ability to analyze data and think critically.
• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in Google applications.
