Digital Representative

About the role

The Digital Representative will own and drive the client’s digital presence in Uganda, engaging farmers and dealers while coordinating online leads to support commercial growth and brand leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all client digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Business Profiles) and execute a content calendar aligned to crop cycles.
• Grow the farmer digital community, drive WhatsApp subscriptions, and facilitate live agronomic sessions.
• Capture field content (demo plots, testimonials, agronomy tips) and work with agronomists and sales teams to produce relevant material.
• Monitor digital inquiries, allocate leads to sales, and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Maintain Google Business Profiles, respond to reviews, and track competitor activity.
• Deliver quarterly performance reports on engagement, community growth, lead volume and provide improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Agriculture or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation or social media management.
• Experience in agriculture, agri‑inputs, FMCG or rural markets is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the Ugandan agricultural landscape and farmer ecosystem.
• High level of ownership, responsiveness and accountability.

Required skills

• Canva or equivalent design tools.
• Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Video production and short‑form editing for social media.
• Proficiency in managing social media platforms and digital engagement tools.
• Data analysis and reporting to track engagement, community growth and lead performance.
