Direct Sales Supervisor

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African region (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan). On behalf of its client in the telecom industry, it is hiring a Direct Sales Supervisor in Uganda. The supervisor manages the direct sales team within defined geographical areas or sites, acting as the link between sales agents and the Area Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the sales team, motivating them to meet daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
• Guide the team on sales knowledge, working ethics, compliance and route plans, and run daily meetings
• Keep team sales records and resolve customer and team complaints, staffing problems and competition issues
• Ensure stock availability and that installation SLAs are followed for sales in the assigned area
• Collaborate with the line manager and cross-functional leaders on sales initiatives, and consult potential customers to suggest suitable products or services
• Be present in the market daily, lead by example and ensure compliance with sales processes and device recovery from non-compliant customers
• Execute agreed sales plans and carry out any other duties assigned

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
• 3+ years leading a highly qualified team in a complex environment
• 2 years of in-depth sales and marketing experience in telecom, device sales, corporate sales, satellite TV or related fields
• Category understanding of the competition landscape (players, devices, packages, commission schemes)
• Ability to understand 5G and fixed wireless solutions and guide cross-functional teams
• Resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, good negotiation and time-management skills, and flexibility to travel urgently
