Insurance Sales Agent

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Agent in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager. The agent prospects and engages potential clients, presents insurance services and closes sales to meet individual and team targets.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on leads and conduct client meetings
• Explain insurance or related products where applicable
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities
• Provide responsive customer service, handle inquiries and feedback
• Support client training sessions on business planning and development
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine sales strategies and contribute to promotional and advertising initiatives

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Solid sales and insurance-related skills to identify opportunities and convert leads into clients
• Training and coaching skills to help clients understand business planning and development
• A proven track record in sales or client-facing roles, integrity with client information, and the ability to work independently and meet targets
• A relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is an added advantage; equivalent experience may be considered
