Insurance Sales Staff

About the role

BUSINESS SKILLS UGANDA is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Staff member in Kampala. The person will identify and approach potential clients, present the company's services and build long-term relationships to drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach in person, by phone and digitally, and schedule and attend client meetings
• Prepare basic sales materials and maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities and sales activities
• Collaborate with the marketing and training teams to align sales with ongoing programs and campaigns
• Follow up on inquiries and provide good customer service before and after closing deals
• Meet sales targets, report results to supervisors and suggest improvements to sales strategy and processes

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to turn prospects into clients
• Clear spoken and written English and confidence in client-facing work
• Good organization and time management, able to manage several leads at once
• Comfortable working on-site in Kampala, including field visits and in-person meetings
• Minimum secondary school certificate; a diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is an added advantage
• Prior experience in sales, customer service or business development is beneficial but not strictly required
