Export Sales Executive

About the role

East African Roofing Systems Ltd is looking for an Export Sales Executive to build its export customer base and promote its products across the East African region. The role covers customer acquisition, sales targets, logistics support and market analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Build an export customer base by recruiting companies, hardware suppliers and other potential customers.
• Develop a visible brand for the products in the East African region.
• Assist with logistical arrangements needed to close sales.
• Achieve the set daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Respond to sales inquiries about products and services.
• Analyze territory and market potential and assess the value of existing and prospective customers.
• Provide feedback on market conditions and carry out market price comparisons.
• Act as the interface between export customers and the company, delivering optimal customer service.
• Generate timely export field reports for the supervisor's decision-making.
• Ensure timely customer payments and help collect debts where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in international business, marketing, business administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in export sales or regional trade.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Problem-solving and good interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Swahili and ability to speak French.
