Field Sales Manager - Mukono

About the role

M-KOPA is looking for a Field Sales Manager to lead the recruitment and management of Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs), drive sales quota attainment and expand sales channels across an assigned territory in Uganda. The role is field-based (Job Band D2) in the Sales department, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, and focuses on building a high-performing field sales team that protects brand integrity and drives financial inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, coach and mentor DSRs, build a motivated, accountable team and cascade business direction to the direct sales channel
• Oversee implementation of sales programs and design sales and marketing strategies to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly targets
• Generate leads, pitch, profile customers and follow up after sales calls to grow sales volumes
• Manage inventory and stock at the assigned depot, ensuring accountability and controls across the field
• Build customer credit performance, screen customers and maintain a healthy credit standing in the territory
• Monitor competitors, customer insights and market trends, and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and activity plans for the Regional Sales Manager
• Uphold M-KOPA brand values, customer-first selling and ethical business practices across the field team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or another relevant field
• 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of leadership
• Experience managing field sales teams and DSR networks
• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a field environment
