About the role

The Head Teacher leads the teaching team at West Village Nursery School, shaping a nurturing and dynamic classroom environment for young learners. This full‑time role combines instructional leadership with hands‑on classroom involvement, ensuring high‑quality early childhood education.

Key responsibilities

• Design and organise classroom setups and daily routines.
• Manage classroom behaviour and facilitate engaging learning activities.
• Support individual students during project work and assessments.
• Prepare materials and develop emergent curriculum aligned with developmental goals.
• Communicate daily with teaching staff, attend faculty meetings, and liaise with parents.
• Participate in student assessments and professional development days.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education, or current enrolment in a master’s program.
• At least 2 years of experience as a head teacher in a progressive school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to teach culturally responsively and work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong written communication skills and a joyful, positive attitude toward children and families.
