Human Resources Trainee – Full‑time, Kampala

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is looking for a motivated Human Resources Trainee to join its Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program (GPAP) in Kampala. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in core HR functions while supporting a fast‑growing startup ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
• Conduct new‑employee orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Help implement HR policies and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
• Support employee relations initiatives and resolve routine queries.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in a management‑related course (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources).
• Pursuing or completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in enterprise development and technology innovation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR management principles and policies.
• Familiarity with employee benefits administration.
• Understanding of recruitment processes and employee relations.
