Insurance Sales Agent

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Agent based in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The agent identifies and pursues new business, builds and maintains client relationships and presents agency services to prospective customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales calls and meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate terms and follow up to close deals
• Coordinate with internal teams so client requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled
• Track sales activities using appropriate tools and report regularly on sales performance
• Represent the agency professionally, support client onboarding and contribute to revenue growth and market expansion

Required profile

• Strong communication skills, with clear verbal and written interaction and the ability to present ideas effectively
• Solid customer service skills to handle client inquiries promptly and maintain long-term relationships
• Proven sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation and closing
• Familiarity with insurance products and concepts when relevant to client campaigns
• Training skills to explain product offerings, campaign details and sales processes to clients or team members
• A diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is advantageous, as is prior experience in a sales or client-facing role
