Junior Field Marketing Officer - EV

About the role

Watu Uganda is hiring a Junior Field Marketing Officer (S) in its Field Marketing department, reporting to the Field Marketing Supervisor. The role covers Jinja, Mukono and Fort Portal and involves promoting and selling EV bikes through direct customer engagement and dealer support, generating leads and sales conversions while gathering market feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Run EV product and financing awareness campaigns in the field under guidance.
• Follow up on client leads generated through activations, referrals and marketing campaigns.
• Assist Field Marketing Officers with door-to-door engagement, lead conversion and client onboarding.
• Take part in EV test rides, demos and field events to build product interest.
• Educate customers on Watu's EV value proposition and help resolve objections.
• Record client interactions in CRM tools and report daily activities accurately.
• Attend field coaching sessions, learn sales strategies and shadow successful sales reps.
• Coordinate with swap station partners and branch support teams during onboarding.
• Engage communities and prospects in high-footfall areas to raise EV brand visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or a related field.
• At least 2 years in sales, marketing, customer service or client relations within financial services or lending.
• Experience in asset finance or electric mobility is an added advantage.
• Valid Class A driver's licence (or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications for data entry and scheduling.
• Well-developed computer skills, including Google Sheets and company systems.
• Good communication, organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
