Lead, Strategic Pursuits and Innovation Alliances

About the role

The Lead, Strategic Pursuits and Innovation Alliances will own the engine that turns institutional opportunities into signed mandates, funded programmes and long‑term alliances for IVG. Reporting to senior leadership, the role manages a live pipeline of public procurement and capital prospects, leads capture planning, bid production and partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and prioritize the Group’s pursuit pipeline across public procurement portals (e‑procurement, World Bank, AfDB, IsDB, UN agencies) and institutional capital sources (DFIs, foundations, bilateral programmes, sovereign windows).
• Lead capture planning for priority pursuits, including counterpart mapping, win‑theme development, consortium formation, pre‑positioning and pricing strategy.
• Direct end‑to‑end production of bids, concept notes, expressions of interest and investment memoranda, ensuring compliance, timeliness and executive quality.
• Originate and manage strategic partnerships with multilaterals, DFIs, government agencies, corporates and academic/innovation networks, creating partnership theses and account plans.
• Run structured intelligence scanning of tender portals, funding calls and policy developments, translating findings into actionable decisions for Group leadership.
• Maintain the opportunity tracker as the single source of truth, run regular pursuit reviews with the CEO and entity leads, and report on conversion, pipeline value and win rate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in capture management, public procurement or institutional financing within development, multilateral or corporate environments.
• Strong track record of leading bid and proposal processes to successful award.
• Ability to work with senior leadership, influence cross‑functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strategic thinking with a results‑oriented mindset and ability to prioritize a high‑volume pipeline.

Required skills

• Expertise in public procurement processes and institutional capital mechanisms.
• Experience with bid management tools and proposal development.
• Strong analytical and intelligence‑gathering capabilities.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
