Partnerships Finance Specialist (Remote)

About the role

The Partnerships Finance Specialist will remotely oversee and stabilise all finance‑related partnership functions across DRC and Sudan, ensuring strong financial compliance, timely partner reporting and capacity strengthening of partners and internal teams. Travel is required only for audits, capacity‑building or critical on‑site issues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial oversight of all local partners, ensuring compliance with donor and DRC requirements.
• Review, validate and reconcile partner financial reports and documentation.
• Identify compliance risks and implement corrective action plans.
• Provide guidance on donor rules (ECHO, BHA, GIZ, SIDA, EU, etc.).
• Diagnose gaps in partner financial systems, improve processes and lead partner finance management in DRC Dynamics (DYN).
• Conduct virtual support sessions, training and follow‑up meetings; travel only when critical.
• Ensure accurate partner data, support audits and strengthen audit trails.
• Provide weekly updates, risk flags and recommendations to senior finance managers and collaborate with grants, area offices and program staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years progressive experience in NGO financial management, including partnership oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
• Proven experience working remotely with field teams and partners in complex or emergency settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DRC Dynamics (DYN) financial system.
