Proposal Writer - Business Development

About the role

Q-Sourcing, a manpower management solutions firm operating in East Africa, is hiring a Proposal Writer in Kampala, Uganda, within its Business Development department. The role reports to the Business Development Specialist and covers creating proposals, negotiating contracts, reporting on sales activity and managing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Create customized proposals, presentations and value propositions for clients
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements and help prepare quotes, SLAs and other contractual documents
• Work with leadership to refine the business development strategy, identify target markets and partners, and track sales activity, pipeline and revenue projections
• Analyze competitors' offerings and monitor client satisfaction and post-sales follow-up
• Work with HR consulting and operations teams and the marketing team to deliver services and align with campaigns
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline, convert leads to deals, and pursue upselling and cross-selling
• Act as the main point of contact for prospective clients, manage the sales process from inquiry to contract signing, and resolve client issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience writing large proposals worth over USD 1 million
• Experience working with or supporting research teams, recruitment analytics or staffing firms is an added advantage

Required skills

• Strong understanding of HR services such as recruitment, talent management, employee benefits and training
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho, Jazz HR) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
