QA Engineer - Sinopec Oil & Gas Project

About the role

Q-Sourcing Servtec, a manpower management firm operating in East Africa, is recruiting on behalf of its client Sinopec for a skilled QA Engineer to work at site in Kampala. The engineer implements and manages Sinopec's quality assurance processes, develops quality procedures and works with the Quality Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and control quality activities according to standards, company procedures, customer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Assist the Quality Management Team in collecting, analysing and reporting quality KPIs such as customer satisfaction, process efficiency and nonconformities
• Conduct periodic monitoring of the Quality Plan and help solve quality issues
• Read and interpret technical procedures and regulations, and ensure compliance with quality specifications
• Help design systems for recording and analysing quality inspection requirements and trends
• Develop, review and implement procedures, work instructions, guidelines and forms
• Perform project audits, prepare audit and non-conformance reports, and track corrective actions
• Identify improvement areas, support internal and external customer satisfaction surveys, and prepare reports on non-conformities, corrective actions and KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Internal/Lead Auditor certification
• At least 10 years' experience in quality or project management, preferably in oil and gas or petrochemicals
• Direct experience across project phases: engineering, procurement, construction, precommissioning/commissioning and final handover
• Hands-on experience preparing final handover documentation
• Knowledge of materials and construction inspection requirements

Required skills

• Knowledge of ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS codes and ISO standards, including ISO 9001
• Planning and scheduling tools and software
• Data analysis and advanced MS Office skills
• Communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
