CCR Supervisor Day (Oil & Gas Control Room)

About the role

Q-Sourcing, on behalf of its client EACOP, is recruiting a CPF CCR Supervisor Day for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline project, based in Tilenga, Uganda. The role oversees daily operations of the central control room, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient plant and field performance, and reports to the Operations Lead and the Field Manager Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all control room activities and continuously monitor process parameters, DCS systems, alarms and equipment performance
• Coordinate plant start-ups, shutdowns and transitions with the pump stations
• Enforce EACOP safety policies, permit-to-work systems and regulatory requirements; lead emergency response from the control room
• Conduct safety briefings, hazard identification and risk assessments
• Maintain communication with panel operators, pump stations, maintenance teams and management, and ensure accurate shift handovers
• Analyse operational data, prepare daily operations reports and incident logs, and recommend improvements
• Mentor panel operators, manage shift scheduling and staffing, and keep operational logs and procedure updates
• Comply with H3SE policies, participate in HSEQ activities and keep the workplace clean and safe

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical diploma (engineering, information technology or related field preferred)
• Minimum 12 years' experience in oil and gas plant operations, including at least 5 years as a panel operator or shift supervisor
• Experience in production, gas processing, refining or utilities
• Proven experience with start-ups, shutdowns, emergencies and process upsets
• Ability to supervise teams, coordinate multi-disciplinary operations and manage shifts

Required skills

• Experience with permit-to-work systems and HSE safety procedures
• Familiarity with troubleshooting instrumentation, mechanical or process issues at coordination level
