Quality Assurance Engineer - Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

Q-Sourcing Servtec, a manpower management firm operating in East Africa, is recruiting a competent, skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to work on site on behalf of its client SINOPEC. The engineer will implement and manage quality assurance processes, develop quality procedures and support audits.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to budget preparation and monitor financial performance against budget when asked by management.
• Assist the Quality Management Team in collecting, analysing and reporting quality KPIs such as customer satisfaction, process efficiency and nonconformities, and in monitoring the Quality Plan.
• Implement quality control activities in line with standards, company procedures, customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Help design systems for recording and analysing quality inspection requirements and product and service quality trends.
• Develop, review and implement procedures, work instructions, guidelines and forms that meet customer needs.
• Assist in developing audit plans, perform project audits, prepare audit and non-conformance reports, and track corrective actions.
• Identify improvement areas, support customer satisfaction surveys and prepare reports on non-conformities, corrective actions and KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Internal/Lead Auditor certification.
• At least 10 years of experience in quality or project management, preferably in oil and gas or petrochemicals.
• Experience across project phases: engineering, procurement, construction, precommissioning/commissioning and final handover, including hands-on final handover documentation.
• Technical knowledge of materials and construction inspection requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS codes, ISO standards and ISO 9001.
• Planning and scheduling tools and advanced MS Office skills.
• Data analysis, communication, presentation, time management and problem-solving skills.
