Relationship Manager – Health Sector

About the role

Standard Bank Group is seeking a senior professional to grow, manage and retain a portfolio of Business and Commercial Banking clients in the Health sector. You will deliver exceptional client experiences, identify business opportunities and drive portfolio profitability while ensuring sound risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and deepen relationships with health‑sector clients, conducting regular engagements to understand their needs.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting cross‑selling and up‑selling of banking products.
• Conduct financial analysis and credit assessments, ensuring compliance with credit, risk, regulatory and KYC requirements.
• Manage portfolio performance against financial, service, compliance and risk targets, addressing revenue leakages and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in relationship management, business/commercial banking or corporate banking.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders at various organisational levels and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• In‑depth knowledge of banking products, lending structures and credit processes.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and presentation abilities.
