Sales Agent – Insurance & Annuities

About the role

The Sales Agent will work on‑site in Kampala to promote and sell Prudential’s annuity and life assurance products to both individual and institutional clients. You will identify prospects, understand their financial needs and recommend suitable solutions while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers through research and networking.
• Conduct consultations, present product features and tailor recommendations to client needs.
• Manage a sales pipeline, follow up on leads and close deals to meet targets.
• Prepare and complete all required documentation and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
• Provide ongoing customer service, handle inquiries, policy updates and renewals.
• Participate in product, compliance and sales training programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team sales objectives and represent the company at client meetings and local events.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven customer‑service orientation with empathy and relationship‑building focus.
• Demonstrated sales ability, including prospecting, negotiating and closing.
• Basic knowledge of insurance and annuity products or a strong interest in learning.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage time effectively and handle multiple client accounts.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail and familiarity with basic office software.
