Sales Representative

About the role

The Insurance Agency is seeking a full‑time Sales Representative based in Kampala to identify and qualify prospective clients, present insurance services and close sales to meet revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach through calls, meetings and events to generate leads.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on insurance products.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities and client interactions.
• Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to refine sales messaging and support campaigns.
• Provide ongoing client support, respond to inquiries and foster repeat business and referrals.

Required profile

• Strong prospecting, lead generation and closing skills with ability to manage a sales pipeline.
• Experience in client relationship management, active listening, negotiation and follow‑up.
• Clear spoken and written English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Basic understanding of business planning, advertising and business development concepts or willingness to learn.
• Comfort working onsite in a fast‑paced environment with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• Prior sales, customer service or account management experience, preferably in business services.
• Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common office and productivity tools (email, spreadsheets, presentation software).
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
