Salesperson – Climate-smart Products

About the role

The Salesperson will promote and sell Green Her Climate Response Uganda Ltd’s climate-smart products and services to individuals, community groups and partner organisations. Working full-time on-site in Wakiso, the role supports sustainable livelihoods and environmental resilience through direct sales and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential customers in the local community and partner networks.
• Conduct product demonstrations, explain benefits, pricing and climate-smart features.
• Negotiate and close sales to meet organisational targets.
• Maintain ongoing customer relationships and gather feedback for product improvement.
• Prepare basic sales reports and track sales activities.
• Support outreach events, trainings and community engagements.
• Collaborate with program and communications teams to align sales with project objectives.

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and customer-relationship abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Basic marketing, outreach and community-engagement experience, preferably in environmental or development projects.
• Organisational and reporting competence to track sales and prepare summaries.
• Knowledge of climate change, sustainable livelihoods or climate-smart technologies is an advantage.
• Experience working with youth, women’s groups or community-based organisations is a plus.
• Minimum diploma or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Environment, Community Development or related field.
• Willingness to work on-site in Wakiso and uphold the organisation’s values of equity, inclusion and sustainability.
