Secondary Head Teacher

About the role

The Secondary Head Teacher provides strategic, spiritual, and operational leadership for the school, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, Christ‑centered education. Reporting to the Community Manager, the role is responsible for academic performance, staff welfare, student discipline, financial stewardship, and curriculum delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic direction aligned with AsOne Ministries' mission, vision, and values.
• Develop, implement, and review annual operational plans and monitor targets.
• Represent the school to parents, government education offices, donors, and the community.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education and Sports guidelines.
• Oversee planning, delivery, and quality of the national curriculum across all classes.
• Monitor teaching quality through classroom observations, lesson audits, and assessment data.
• Integrate Christ‑centered values into curriculum delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external examinations and ensure timely reporting of results.
• Identify curriculum gaps and lead remedial and improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Mid‑level qualification with at least 48 months (4 years) of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to Christ‑centered education and holistic community development.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage staff, finances, and school operations effectively.
