Senior Auditor – IT, Network & Data

About the role

The Senior Auditor – IT, Networks & Data Analytics will plan and execute risk‑based audits across MTN’s telecom technology environment, focusing on IT systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital platforms and data‑driven assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide input into the combined assurance plan and execute financial and operational audit engagements.
• Design audit procedures, conduct opening conferences, and prepare audit planning memoranda.
• Assess inherent risks, evaluate internal controls, and develop audit programs.
• Execute audit engagements, test control effectiveness, and prepare reports with value‑adding recommendations.
• Facilitate exit conferences, monitor outstanding audit points, and advise management on controls and compliance.
• Perform Continuous Controls Monitoring and represent Internal Audit on project teams and tender meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Science, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal or external audit with a focus on IT, network, cybersecurity or data analytics.
• Strong understanding of telecom network architecture, IT general controls, cybersecurity frameworks and data governance.
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing and stakeholder management skills.
