Volunteer Communications & Events Coordinator for Women's Health

About the role

This unpaid volunteer position supports TERREWODE’s mission to improve the lives of women and girls affected by reproductive health challenges in Uganda and East Africa. You will help raise the organization’s visibility and engage communities through strategic communications and well‑executed events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage TERREWODE’s social media platforms and maintain an active online presence.
• Collect, document, and obtain consent for stories, testimonials, photos, and videos.
• Draft press releases, success stories, and donor communications.
• Plan, coordinate, and support workshops, trainings, campaigns, and other organizational events.
• Assist in designing and delivering reintegration training sessions on key community topics.
• Promote events and engage stakeholders through appropriate communication channels.
• Document and report on the outcomes of communications activities and events.

Required profile

• Motivated volunteer with a passion for women’s health and community empowerment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with staff, partners, and community members.
