Commercial Officer – Country Operations (Fintech)

About the role

The Commercial Officer – Country Operations will be the company’s on‑the‑ground driver for market entry and growth in the assigned country. Acting as the first point of contact with regulators, banks, fintech partners and merchants, the incumbent will build liquidity relationships, launch Over‑the‑Counter (OTC) trading, and lay the foundation for future Payment Service Provider (PSP) operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country’s business strategy, beginning with OTC operations and progressively expanding to full PSP services.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities that promote digital payment adoption and business expansion.
• Represent the company in early‑stage discussions with regulators, commercial banks, international partners and strategic stakeholders.
• Support treasury and liquidity management by monitoring cash positions, funding requirements and foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Track and report on KPIs such as OTC transaction volume, revenue growth, institutional client acquisition and customer retention.
• Collaborate with finance and banking partners to ensure timely settlement funding and efficient cash‑flow forecasting.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in business development, commercial operations or market entry within fintech, payments or financial services.
• Strong understanding of OTC trading, payment processing and liquidity management.
• Proven ability to build relationships with regulators, banks, fintech partners and merchants.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a results‑driven mindset.
