Insurance Salesperson – Kampala

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Kampala and focuses on driving new business for an insurance agency. The Salesperson will generate leads, build client relationships, and close sales while representing the agency professionally at meetings and events.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market.
• Generate leads, meet prospective clients, and present agency offerings.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and follow up to close sales.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and use CRM tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Meet or exceed set sales targets.
• Represent the agency at client meetings, networking events, and business forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in recruitment, advertising, or related services.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills, able to handle multiple leads.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kampala and travel to client sites and events.
• Basic proficiency with office software and CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
• Knowledge of the Kampala market is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (experience also considered).
• Ethical, collaborative, and results‑oriented work style.
