About the role
The Department of Chemistry at Makerere University is seeking a diligent Laboratory Attendant to support daily operations in its teaching and research labs. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant academic environment while ensuring a safe and well‑maintained laboratory space.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all laboratory equipment, accessories, and work surfaces.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
- Assist the Laboratory Technician with routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor related to laboratory upkeep.
Required profile
- Ordinary Level Certificate of Education from a recognized institution.
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work under supervision.
