Medical Officer / Pediatrician – Clinical Leadership Role

About the role

We are a fast‑growing healthcare facility in the vibrant middle‑class suburb of Kamwokya, Kampala. We seek a highly driven, empathetic Medical Officer or Pediatrician who can deliver patient‑centred care while demonstrating leadership potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, safe medical care to patients, including consultations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• For pediatricians, deliver specialised care for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Contribute to clinical process improvement, service quality, and patient experience.
• Support health promotion, disease prevention, and community health initiatives.
• Demonstrate initiative and problem‑solving, supporting the development of the clinical team.

Required profile

• Valid medical qualification with appropriate professional registration/licensing.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and a genuine commitment to patient care.
• Leadership potential, strategic thinking, and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
