Production Manager – Beverage and Plastics/Packaging Plant

About the role

The Production Manager will lead all production, maintenance and engineering activities at a high‑volume beverage and plastics plant. Reporting to Senior Operations Management, you will be on the shop floor driving efficiency, quality and safety while overseeing automated Krones filling lines and PET preform and cap moulding operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor production to meet output targets and material availability.
• Increase equipment availability, reduce waste and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Oversee PET beverage production and plastics manufacturing, including preform and closure production.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for mechanical, electrical, automation and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the plant.
• Track KPIs such as efficiency, yield, downtime, quality and plan adherence.
• Ensure compliance with food‑safety, quality, health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory to avoid stock‑outs and excess.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Develop and coach a multidisciplinary production team, fostering a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in senior production leadership.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume beverage and plastics operations.
• Strong track record of improving productivity, equipment reliability and cost efficiency.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and hands‑on technical expertise.
