Sales Agent – Trade Finance (Nakawa)

About the role

The Sales Agent position in Nakawa focuses on promoting trade finance and related services to prospective clients. It is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Kampala, requiring proactive client engagement and end‑to‑end sales management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective clients, presenting trade finance and related services.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to closing agreements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, respond to inquiries, and deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Meet sales targets, prepare proposals, coordinate with internal teams, and keep accurate records of client interactions.
• Participate in training sessions, attend local events, and stay informed about market trends and competitive offerings.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Solid sales abilities, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Knowledge of insurance and related financial products, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to absorb new information quickly and guide clients or colleagues on product features.
• Relevant experience in trade finance, banking, insurance, or financial services is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work toward defined targets.
• Comfort working on‑site in Kampala and collaborating with diverse teams and clients.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
