Sales Executive – Advertising & Marketing

About the role

The Sales Executive will join the 256 Advertising Agency team in Kampala to drive new business and support client marketing and advertising needs. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on prospecting, building relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and cold outreach.
• Schedule, attend and lead client meetings to understand requirements.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and negotiate terms to close deals.
• Collaborate with creative and account management teams to ensure solutions meet client expectations.
• Monitor market trends and maintain accurate sales records.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in advertising or marketing.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and organized with good time‑management skills.
• Comfortable working on‑site in Kampala and engaging clients in person, by phone or online.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing concepts.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common office software (email, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Familiarity with CRM tools (advantage).
