Sales & Marketing Representative – Insurance Agency

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Kamwokya, Kampala and focuses on driving insurance sales and marketing activities for Business Skills Uganda. You will work closely with the Insurance Agency Manager to identify and engage potential clients, promote service offerings, and support overall business development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound sales calls and schedule client meetings.
• Present insurance products and service packages to prospective customers.
• Maintain and nurture client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
• Prepare and update sales reports and activity logs.
• Assist in creating marketing collateral and promotional materials.
• Participate in internal training sessions and share product knowledge with teammates.
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve monthly targets and improve outreach strategies.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Proven sales and sales‑management experience, preferably in insurance or related fields.
• Ability to train clients and colleagues on product features.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles such as advertising, promotion, and brand awareness.
• Professional, collaborative attitude and ability to work in an on‑site team environment.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple client interactions.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline is preferred.
