Sales Officer – Insurance Products

About the role

The Sales Officer will promote and sell insurance products for UWEZO Microfinance Limited. You will engage with both individual and business clients, building relationships to meet sales targets and expand the company’s insurance portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement effective marketing strategies to sell new insurance contracts or adjust existing ones.
• Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking, cold calling, and using referrals.
• Appraise the wishes and demands of business or individual customers and sell suitable protection plans.
• Collect information from clients on their risk profiles to offer proper solutions.
• Prepare reports to shareholders on the success of business endeavors.
• Maintain continuous awareness of transactions, sales terms and keep relevant records.
• Check insurance claims to solidify trust and safeguard reputation.
• Frequently replenish job‑specific knowledge and apply it in the field.
• Fulfill all company‑established policy obligations.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification.
• At least one month of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
