Sales Staff – Insurance Agency

About the role

The Sales Staff will join an insurance agency in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, calls and visits.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations and tailored service offers.
• Follow up leads, negotiate terms and close sales in coordination with account and creative teams.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, update CRM and generate regular reports.
• Participate in client meetings and ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal marketing, creative and operations teams to align solutions with client needs.

Required profile

• Proven ability in sales or business development, preferably in advertising or insurance.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Effective negotiation, persuasion and objection‑handling capabilities.
• Excellent organization and time‑management to handle multiple leads and deadlines.
• Results‑oriented, self‑motivated and resilient in a target‑driven environment.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic digital tools such as email, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and spreadsheets.
• Experience using CRM or sales‑tracking systems.
• Familiarity with advertising, media and marketing concepts is an advantage.
