Sales Staff – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Sales Staff position is based in Kampala and reports to the Insurance Agency Manager. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and promoting the agency’s insurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and negotiate contract terms.
• Schedule, attend, and follow up on client meetings to close deals.
• Collaborate with account‑management and creative teams to ensure client requirements are met.
• Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and maintain accurate activity records in CRM tools.
• Provide regular pipeline and performance reports to management.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Proven sales and negotiation abilities with a track record of meeting targets.
• Understanding of advertising and marketing concepts, preferably within an agency environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and comfortable working in cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in sales, business development or account management is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
