Sales Team Lead – International Trade Finance (Kampala)

About the role

The Sales Team Lead – Nakawa will head a dedicated sales team delivering international trade finance solutions to clients in Kampala and the wider region. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on driving revenue, building client relationships, and fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Set sales targets, monitor performance metrics and coach team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Conduct client meetings, coordinate with internal departments to ensure service quality, and prepare regular sales reports.
• Analyze market trends and data to inform decision‑making and forecast sales.
• Provide frontline customer support, resolve issues promptly and promote a collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Proven sales expertise in lead generation, deal closing and pipeline management.
• Strong team‑management abilities to motivate, supervise and develop a diverse sales group.
• Advanced analytical capability to interpret data and spot market opportunities.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and communication skills for presentations, negotiations and internal collaboration.
• Experience in trade finance, banking or financial services is highly beneficial.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding B2B sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field is advantageous.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kampala and thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
