Salesperson – Insurance Agency

About the role

The Salesperson will identify and qualify prospective clients, schedule and conduct sales meetings, and present the agency’s advertising services and solutions. The role involves building a sales pipeline, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, closing deals and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospective clients.
• Schedule and conduct sales meetings to present the agency’s advertising services.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline and prepare proposals and quotations.
• Negotiate terms, close deals and follow up with existing clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage account relationships and coordinate with internal teams to deliver campaigns.
• Track performance against sales targets, update CRM records and provide regular reports to management.

Required profile

• Demonstrated sales skills including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation and closing.
• Strong client relationship management with a focus on customer service and retention.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing concepts such as media planning and campaign execution.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
• Solid organizational and time‑management skills, able to handle multiple opportunities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with team members and adapt to a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• Prior experience in sales, advertising or marketing is an advantage; relevant diploma or degree preferred.
• Familiarity with the Kampala business environment and willingness to travel locally for client meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Competence in using email and presentation software.
