Salesperson – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Salesperson role is based in Kampala and focuses on generating new business for an insurance agency. The successful candidate will actively prospect, present agency services, and close deals to meet revenue targets while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through calls, meetings, networking and referrals.
• Present agency services, prepare proposals, negotiate terms and close sales.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, following up on leads and providing ongoing support.
• Deliver regular sales reports and market feedback to the management team.
• Collaborate with recruitment and advertising teams to ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in recruitment, advertising or related professional services.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities across various organisational levels.
• Ability to build long‑term client relationships and provide excellent customer service.
• Comfort with prospecting activities such as cold calling, in‑person visits and networking within Kampala and surrounding areas.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and capable of working independently while contributing to team goals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with email, productivity tools and basic CRM or sales tracking systems.
