About the role

The Social Media Marketing Volunteer will support Apael Development Initiative’s online presence by creating and sharing engaging content that highlights the organization’s health, wealth, and education programs. This part‑time, remote position offers an opportunity to contribute to poverty alleviation efforts while developing practical digital marketing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule posts for various social media platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
• Gather visuals, stories, and testimonials from program teams to craft compelling narratives.
• Monitor comments and messages, respond to followers, and foster respectful online conversations.
• Assist in simple content planning using a basic content calendar.
• Track basic metrics such as reach, likes, shares, and follower growth, and report findings.

Required profile

• Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Interest in community development, poverty alleviation, or social impact.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the communications team.

Required skills

• Social media content creation (captions, image selection, basic video/reel creation).
• Basic video creation.
• Basic analytics and reporting using platform insights.
