About the role
The company is seeking a diligent Accountant to manage its financial records, ensure compliance with Ugandan tax regulations, and support day‑to‑day accounting operations. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop core accounting skills within an industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports.
- Process tax filings and ensure adherence to national tax laws.
- Apply accounting standards and enterprise accounting systems in daily tasks.
- Support internal audits and provide necessary documentation.
Required profile
- Solid understanding of financial accounting, tax law, and economic regulations.
- Familiarity with Ugandan financial and tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong professional ethics and a rigorous, pragmatic work style.
- Commitment to confidentiality of company financial information.
