Insurance Sales Agent

About the role

The Insurance Agency is seeking a full-time Sales Agent to work on-site in Kampala. You will be responsible for generating new business by identifying prospects, presenting insurance solutions and closing sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential customers and generate leads.
• Conduct client meetings, explain product benefits, pricing and insurance concepts.
• Follow up on leads, negotiate terms and close sales.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
• Provide high-quality service and answer insurance-related inquiries.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on products and sales techniques.
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
• Contribute to promotional activities and relay market feedback to management.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven customer-service experience with the ability to resolve issues.
• Demonstrated sales abilities, including prospecting, negotiation and closing.
• Basic understanding of insurance products and the capacity to explain them.
• Willingness to learn, attend training and accept coaching.
• Good organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Reliability, punctuality and ability to work on-site in Kampala.
• Relevant experience in sales, customer service or insurance is an advantage; a diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is beneficial.
