Sales Team Leader - Salary Loans (East & West Region)

About the role

Mogo Uganda is looking for a Sales Team Leader for its salary loans (Check Off Loans) business, covering the East and West regions. The role grows the portfolio month on month by securing and maintaining Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), booking and converting customer appointments, and leading a team of Field Agents while keeping portfolio quality and customer satisfaction high. The position is based in Kampala.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, negotiate and sign MOUs with new employers and institutions, and maintain and renew existing ones in line with agreed terms.
• Manage the assigned location, including lead management and business intelligence gathering.
• Book and manage customer appointments daily and weekly, follow up leads from MOUs and convert them into sales within set timelines.
• Develop sales strategies for the location, recruit Field Agents and meet monthly targets for active customers and sales.
• Manage, mentor and coach Field Agents, enforce company policies and maintain discipline in the team.
• Ensure 100% compliance on weekly route plans, daily activities and data capture in the CRM, and enforce data clean-up.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales, MOU status and appointments, advise the Regional Manager, and monitor market trends and competitors.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues and uphold a zero-tolerance-to-fraud culture.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience managing a sales team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor a sales team, analyse sales data and build strong customer relationships.
