Corporate Sales Representative - Fintech

About the role

SafeBoda is looking for a Corporate Sales Representative in Kampala to lead the acquisition and growth of organizations using its fintech and payment solutions. The role is commercially driven and focuses on finding high-potential organizations with recurring payment needs, building relationships with decision-makers, developing commercial propositions, closing new business and driving transaction volumes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective B2B fintech customers.
• Prospect and engage decision-makers across Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Operations, IT and related functions.
• Understand customer payment processes and develop tailored commercial solutions.
• Lead opportunities from prospecting through negotiation, closure and onboarding.
• Achieve agreed sales, revenue and transaction-volume targets.
• Monitor customer transaction activity and identify ways to increase volumes.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across SafeBoda's fintech products.
• Build strong relationships with key accounts and proactively address retention risks.
• Work with internal teams to resolve onboarding, operational and product issues.

Required profile

• 1-3+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development or account management.
• Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, technology or a related industry is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience selling to medium and large organizations and managing complex B2B sales cycles.

Required skills

• B2B prospecting, hunting and closing; good negotiation and relationship management.
• Selling value and business outcomes, not just price.
• Data-driven approach to sales and account growth.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
