Sales Executive - Kampala

About the role

Igongo Country Hotel and Cultural Center is hiring a full-time Sales Executive based in Kampala (Kamwokya). The role represents the hotel at trade shows, promotional events and industry functions, builds client accounts and helps achieve monthly booking quotas and budgeted sales goals.

Key responsibilities

• Implement sales strategies and action plans for assigned market segments
• Attend trade shows, promotional events and industry functions to represent the hotel
• Establish and maintain active client accounts, keeping proper documentation
• Conduct sales trips, site inspections and client entertainment to secure business
• Provide market feedback on competition and industry trends
• Meet or exceed monthly booking quotas and contribute to budgeted sales goals
• Maintain accurate records in the hotel's PMS system and prepare timely reports
• Ensure compliance with hotel standards, health and safety regulations and the corporate code of conduct

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
• Proven sales experience, preferably in hospitality or the service industry
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet targets and work under pressure
• Willingness to travel and represent the hotel at industry events

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office
• Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS)
