Pro Bono Social Media & Content Strategist (Volunteer)

About the role

Pro Bono Uganda is looking for a creative, purpose‑driven Social Media & Content Strategist to amplify the stories behind its community impact, youth leadership and social change initiatives. This volunteer position offers a chance to use digital platforms to raise awareness and support for the organization’s programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule engaging posts, including graphics, videos and captions, across social media channels.
• Write compelling stories that highlight community impact, volunteers and partners.
• Provide digital coverage of events and campaigns.
• Engage with followers, partners and volunteers online, responding to comments and messages.
• Track engagement metrics and prepare simple monthly insight reports.
• Support the launch of campaigns, fundraising initiatives and partnership visibility.

Required profile

• Background or strong interest in communications, media, marketing, journalism or digital content.
• Experience managing personal or organisational social media accounts.
• Passion for storytelling as a tool for social change.
