Sales Agent (Insurance)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Agent to join our insurance agency in Kampala. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will promote and sell a range of insurance products, engage both new and existing clients, and help them choose the coverage that best fits their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with customers, explain product features and benefits, and provide tailored quotations.
• Close sales in line with set targets and follow up on leads supplied by the agency.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve overall customer experience and share best practices.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, compliance requirements, and effective sales techniques.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insurance products clearly.
• Proven customer‑service orientation and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
• Demonstrated sales ability, meeting or exceeding targets consistently.
• Basic knowledge of insurance policies, coverage options, and regulatory requirements or a willingness to learn.
• Reliability, ethical conduct, and capacity to work with minimal supervision in a target‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy.
• Experience with CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
