Sales and Marketing Intern

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site internship in Kampala supports Boxleo’s sales and marketing activities. You will work closely with the team to generate leads, assist in closing deals, and help execute marketing campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify sales leads, follow up with prospects, and support deal closure under supervision.
• Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns, manage social media content, and contribute to promotional materials and events.
• Engage with customers, respond to inquiries, gather feedback, and maintain accurate records in CRM or tracking tools.
• Prepare sales and marketing reports, participate in team meetings, and support training sessions or product demonstrations.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Foundational interest in sales, prospecting, and structured sales processes.
• Willingness to quickly learn about products, services, and internal tools.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles, social media usage, and promotional activities.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
• Prior internship or volunteer experience in sales, marketing, or customer‑facing roles is a plus but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office or similar productivity tools.
